Current Clip:

Jean-Pierre Warnier discusses the link between discursive knowledge and procedural knowledge. He resituates these two concepts in the context of governmentality elaborated by Michel Foucault and shows the link with the notion of sensori-motricity culture. Jean-Pierre Warnier applies these notions to the Mankon Kingdom in order to explain how the Kingdom’s inhabitants are fabricated like receptacles. He concludes that sensori-motricity and material culture - unlike ethnologists’ viewpoints which, according to Alain Bertoz, overlook the body too much -are linked to sensori-motricity cultures and political systems.
