The “People and Cultures of the World” web portal is supported by two Research and Development projects: the French SAPHIR project (financed by the national RIAM program) and the European Logos project (financed by the 6th PCRD).

While each has its own specific missions, these two projects will help to facilitate using the "People and Cultures of the World" audiovisual collection for teaching, research, scientific communication, and diffusion of knowledge in a multilingual and multicultural context.
